This month group leaders working with adults with diverse abilities can learn more about the services offered by Contra Costa County Library. Did you know that you can book a meeting or study room at the library? Perhaps you are interested in learning more about assistive technology, sensory backpacks, or how to borrow braille and talking books. We will cover digital resources such as Learning Express Library and programs like Project Second Chance. By exploring these resources, leaders can enhance their support and engagement with group members, empowering them to better serve their groups.
Engage in enriching activities that are designed for adults with diverse abilities at our inclusive library program in the Story Room. This monthly event provides a welcoming environment where participants can explore library resources, develop new skills, and connect with others in the community.
Our specially curated sessions aim to enhance independence and foster a love for learning among adults with varying intellectual and developmental needs. Attendees will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with library services, participate in adaptive activities, and build confidence in a supportive setting.
