A docent from the Asian Art Museum explores the myriad and fascinating depictions of female deities throughout Asia. Goddesses play an important and prominent role in all Asian religions. From fertile earth maidens, to nurturing mothers, from wrathful avengers, to wise advisors - these deities provide for their supplicants and followers.
