Sponsored by and part of its Speaker Series, The Concord Historical Society is presenting Josh Keibel on April 28 at 2 PM in their Event Center. Many have enjoyed John's presentation, Behind the Barbed Wire: History of Naval Weapons Station Concord. This afternoon's presentation is a sequel. It shares stories left untold for lack of space in John's book, Behind the Barbed Wire.
In addition, John will provide an update on the station's former Inland Area (Currently Concord Reuse Project) about its plans and progress.
Before the presentation, the Galindo Home, next door, will be open for tours.
Behind the Barbed Wire was of curiosity that arose as John photographed wildlife on the 12,920-acre station (Tidal and Inland Areas) in the late 1990's.
